Some of my work is autobiographical, some of it explores the lives of others,
and some of it is purely abstract. One common thread that runs through it all
is my tendency to look for beauty in contrast; in the combination of opposing concepts
that mirror the diversity of man and nature.
My primary technique is collage, which I use in an attempt to render a magical world
filled with colour, wit, and subversion.
Art has always been my chosen method for exploring life’s mysteries,
and so creating art, for me, is a process of self-understanding.
My work is a declaration of love for a simple world where the man-made,
the natural, and the spiritual interact in a neutral space, suspended in time
––science meets spirit, fear meets joy, and simplicity meets complexity.
I love trying to tell stories with my collages, and those stories
tend to revolve around the relationships between humanity and nature,
the material and the incorporeal, and truth and fiction.
